Organization Description:
Philips Optimum is an original equipment lighting fixture manufacturer. We are uniquely positioned, providing energy efficient lighting fixture solutions for the: industrial, commercial, government, educational facilities, and warehouse and retail markets.
Our growth over the past several years has allowed us continued expansion and to post for several new positions to serve our ever expanding customer/market base. Currently we design and produce lighting fixtures for some of the largest government and retail customers. We can meet most any lighting challenge with turn around times, from order to shipment of typically 3 to 4 weeks.
We are currently looking for Sales Representatives in the following regions:
Southeast (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama)
Central (Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa)
Central East (Ohio, Western PA, Indiana, Michigan)
New England (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Upstate NY)
Southwest (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona,)
Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana)
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales activities for regional accounts through direct contact with end users or in conjunction with ESCOS, distributors, and/or Rep Agencies.
A. Develop potential customer base from marketing analysis and make cold calls to establish contacts with the end user. Develop mutually beneficial and complementary objectives with ESCOS, distributors and “Energy” Rep Agencies in order to promote industrial/commercial lighting products.
B. Analyze existing and potential customer requirements and promote industrial/commercial products through sales presentations with the account or in conjunction with the ESCOS, distributors and Rep Agency distribution.
C. Use tools provided to assist in development of sales through education. Presentations to include: color renditions and environmental concerns in order to promote the value added benefits of specific products. Maintain technical proficiency, investigate new applications and keep informed of new products. Keep current on your territory rebate programs.
D. Track your field sales activities reporting all prospects to attainment of account. Track your local region calls, presentations and pricing.
E. Educate potential customers on Philips Optimum capabilities in manufacturing, marketing, distribution, project assistance, rebate administration and environmental management.
F. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- 6 - 8 years direct sales experience. Lighting experience and knowledge a plus, but it is not a requirement.
- Proven record of persistence and results in prospecting new business and establishing and maintaining long-term sales relationships.
- Excellent organizational abilities in order to establish and create new account opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to train and give presentations to customers and end users. Ability to develop potential customer base.
